Netflix Subscription Plans: How Do They Work?

The free trial is available for 30 days to any new customers who are signing up for Netflix for the first time. During the first month of your subscription, you won’t be charged anything until the last day of the free trial period, and you can cancel at any time before that.


Once the free trial ends, it will be time for you to choose the paid subscription. Netflix offers a variety of streaming video plans. To summarize, there are three major plans to choose from as the description below (all currency is listed in USD).


Basic - The Basic streaming plan costs $8.99 per month and has the most limited features. Only one screen at a time is allowed to use, and resolution is limited to standard definition.

Standard - The Standard streaming plan costs $12.99 per month and allows you to watch on two screens at a time in high definition, which you can stream the video at 720P or 1080P depending on your screen resolution.

Premium - The Premium streaming plan costs $15.99 per month. For that, you can watch on four screens at the same time, this one is perfect for the family, and you can stream the video in HD (1080P) or 4K Ultra HD where applicable.

How to Watch Netflix Videos Offline

Although it is impossible to keep the free trial all the time, there is an alternative option for us to watch the Netflix for free, which is to download the contents that you want to watch before the free trial expires.
